@RobThor80304576 @Toffeeblue1878 This is where I’m at.. do they not remember going through the last 6-7 years like I do?
With him I actually feel we can win any game.. yes there are some stinkers here and there, but overall, this team looks night and day different from what we have had for a while.
I would.. is that a big # for him, sure.
But he is so versatile.. a team player.. willing to do whatever we need. Can’t put a price on that.
It all comes down to one question, do we need funds to further improve?
If ownership has funds to improve team without the sale.. keep him and lock him down.
Question.. How can Paul Skenes have a 4.6 WAR and a record of 4-8..
Does that mean if an average pitcher was pitching in those games, they would be 0-12? That doesn't seem plausible..
Make WAR make sense..
For the record, I own a small business, employ 13 people and pay 100% of the healthcare for them and their families.
We have a great plan. Albeit, the ER visits.
But the cost of plan alone, I could hire 2 more people. I hardly use it, my wife and kids do.
I was just shocked at that visit.. and I’ve seen a lot recently where it’s cheaper in a lot of cases, without insurance, for some reason.
@bumbadum14 I visited the ER recently, first time in 20 years. Only went there because it was 11pm and the urgent clinics weren’t open.
Saw a Dr for 3 total mins. He didn’t even touch me or do any tests, just chatted and prescribed me a pain pill.
With insurance it cost me $600..
I’m just stating it shouldn’t cost $600, with insurance, take that as you may.
If the urgent care a block away was open, I would have received better service, and only paid $70.
Alternative point:
I got married in Mexico. While there, had an allergic reaction and went to a clinic.
The doctor said I needed an antihistamine, it could be pills or a shot, the shot would work faster.
I agreed to the shot. He took me in a room and administered it. I handed him a $20 and was in and out in 10 mins.
No paperwork, nothing, and I was better the next day.
Healthcare shouldn’t be as expensive as it is, but many factors contribute to it.
@JR_Leonard88 I agree.. totally agree.. At the same time, that doesn't make it right.. Both sides should have to honor their deals. Otherwise the contracts are worthless.. what do they actually mean at that point?
I don’t understand modern athletes and their contract situations.. for example, love TJ Watt, hope the Steelers extend him.
But he’s holding out.. he still has a year left on his deal.. a deal he signed.. a deal he was happy to agree to.. in players minds are contracts simply 1 year less than what the text on the contract actually says?
@Timheretoo@wayofftheres Love it.. lol.. yeah, just random factoids.. We started with "How long do these things actually live.." and in the end knew they could kill you..
