🚨 Atletico Madrid confirm they will not sell Julian Alvarez to Barcelona.
"The members of Atlético de Madrid's Board of Directors have unanimously expressed their absolute support for the club's decision to not negotiate the transfer of Julián Alvarez to FC Barcelona.
"The members of the Board of Directors acknowledge that 'Atlético de Madrid is open to standard transfer market negotiations when conducted in a professional, ethical and respectful manner. We fully stand behind the club’s previously communicated position that FC Barcelona failed to meet these requirements and, as a result, there will not be any negotiation and there is zero consideration of an Alvarez transfer to Barcelona.'
"Atlético de Madrid trust that our player will understand the decision and will remain focused on helping the club achieve its goals, just as he has done during the two seasons he has been defending our colours."
Arsenal were never really in this one. But with Barcola now settled and Martinelli heading for the exit, the left wing question at the Emirates is still wide open with the window nearly shut.
🚨 BREAKING: Liverpool reach agreement in principle on terms of deal to sign Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. Still details to finalise between #LFC & #PSG but moving fast after breakthrough overnight on package ~£120m, ~£100m fixed @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/HhklnZIifL
@Zoj256@Deb_236 And by the same logic if a player deems it better for his personal career to move how is it any different if they force the issue? Let’s not have a double standard. And also the suggestion that a club like Arsenal are going bankrupt and folding because of one player’s wages is 😂
🚨 BREAKING: Manchester City are showing an interest in Everton attacker Iliman Ndiaye. Everton value Ndiaye at around £80m.
Ndiaye also a name considered by #AFC, whose dream target remains Julian Alvarez.

@Arsenaljury Wouldn’t mind Nwaneri staying if no one new is signed. But if we do sign at least one more I’d send him out on the loan deal that’s been proposed
💣🚨 BREAKING: Julián Alvarez has FINALLY accepted that Atlético Madrid will NOT allow him to move to Barça, and for the first time sees that his only option is Arsenal.
Everything happening around him is leading him, for the first time, to seriously consider leaving for Arsenal.

Everyone is upset that Gabriel Jesus isn't leaving and want the club to force him out before his contract is up. But then they are judging Alvarez for doing the same on the other side. Transfers are messy, people. If your emotions are so easily triggered, don't follow transfer news...
