I don’t understand the “adversity” narrative they’re trying to push for Beck. The arm injury comeback sure but dude would have been starting QB if he chose to stay. He left UGA on his own.
“Been through so much adversity in his career, especially in Athens” - Herbstreit 🤣
“Long career at Georgia, had his moments. Finally smiling again” - Fowler 😭
Carson Beck. 24-3 as a starter at UGA
Won 2 National Championships, 2 SEC Championships
Just a hilarious narrative
Unbelievable experience losing my voice with the boys @TaylorLewan77@HDouglas83@JoshPateCFB
I wish I could say it was all a dream come true but I’ll be honest —getting to do something like this was never a thought in my mind when we started our podcast.
It’s all been pretty surreal to think about
Really appreciate @PatMcAfeeShow & @espn for the opportunity
And THANK YOU to everyone who tuned in 🥃
(The barking from Georgia fans will be stuck in my brain forever)
What a quote from Kirby Smart here.
“A lot of these kids want a check. They don’t want physicality. If you have the check and no physicality, you end with nothing. You’re not just getting checks at our place. We’re hitting people.”
Georgia fans — with success often comes speculation, but I want to address it directly. I have not been contacted by anyone at LSU, and more importantly, I have no interest in any other job. My full focus remains on the University of Georgia, our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and fans.
I am very fortunate to work alongside President Morehead, the Athletic Association Board, Governor Brian Kemp, and the Board of Regents, who share a deep commitment to excellence and to the success of Georgia Athletics.
This is home to me, and I’m honored to play a part in the incredible progress we’ve made together. The best days for Georgia Athletics are still ahead, and I look forward to continuing to build on the championship standard we’ve established here in Athens. Let’s go have some fun in Jacksonville! Go Dawgs!
I rewatched the Kirby timeout sequence. Kirby calls timeout.
Then tells the ref that Auburn was clapping. “They can’t clap! They can’t clap!”
Points to Auburn: “They’re clapping!”
Ref weirdly overturns the timeout call. Broadcast assumes Kirby said he didn’t call timeout.
