This 'Civil War' is so dumb. Boycotting Marathon will just lead to Bungies ruin. Supporting Marathon will lead to more Marathon, not D3. There's no real solution. Play Marathon if you want, support Destiny via the petition/log in June 9th. We shouldn't be tearing either game down

While I understand the grief of loss, as a lifelong Bungie fan what I've seen lately saddens me.

My love for Halo, Marathon and especially Destiny have blessed me with experiences and friends I'll cherish forever. The worlds Bungie fostered, that I've had the privilege to be a part of - has touched my heart through experiencing community surrounding and overcoming fantastical challenges.

Bungie's unique social settings has allowed me to connect with other people through sharing, art & competition, defining what gaming is for me. I found home in gaming where it isn't about tribalism or demands, but shared emotion, experiences and self expression. I believe the latter is contagious and try to operate from that place.

It's easy to forget that behind social media, screens and games that there are real human beings. I'm certainly not perfect and have had my share of hard lessons learned, but I believe we have a responsibility to one another in the power of our words or influence. Things are never free from criticism, and voices deserve to be heard & and understood in their catharsis - but divisiveness isn't what drove what we love.

@TheTrueVanguard Unfortunately the Marathon community has suffered the wrath of Bungie fans since its leak in 2023. This has been so disappointing. You’d think the Bungie community would’ve been more welcoming. They unfortunately never were even before Destiny shutdown 😞

@kambyyy @samikatplays Actually Christopher Barrett pitched it in 2018. Not 2021 but the rest is confirmed. Barrett talks about it in an interview and Dr Lupo discussed his role about consulting since 2018 in a live stream during the launch of the public alpha test
