It really is nonsense, I have not been in AmazonSeller for that long and in that time, I have only been accessed two major brands, though I’ve applied and tried to sell multiple others with no luck. So whatever is going on is affecting just about every seller out there I would imagine.

Been a long time coming! But if I can be honest, and say something probably nobody in the government wants to hear. If we’re going to hold @GaryGensler accountable, then why should the others fully responsible for Gensler and his decisions be off the hook….. If you have even read 1 article about this then you know the decisions were made by a subcommittee headed by @ewarren Elizabeth Warren (Senator) and absolutely Gary Gensler‘s boss. Man this is such a good take on the pitfalls of selling on Amazon especially like you said if providing for your family and really needing a set income each month.. You really are basically at the mercy of an Amazon Logistics Nightmare that can be so so slow when getting inventory you have sent to the correct distribution center which then needs to be received by the loading dock unloaded moved into warehouse then your inventory goes through an initial check making sure information is correct, they do the final opening boxes and counting each product then update it online so you can finally see it and sell it! God forbid your numbers entered before your inventory was sent doesn’t match the numbers counted by Amazon they can take days longer to get straightened out.

Gonna be completely honest I don’t think Amazon OA is worth it after all of this.

Yes, the money is fantastic. And it’s relatively easy as well.

But, if you have kids to feed and a roof over your head to pay for and you’re constantly at the mercy of a bigger power (Amazon) who can shut down your business in an instant with no warning.

Is it even worth it?

Luckily I’m not desperate for cash and I don’t have kids to feed, so I can afford to leave my inventory at Amazon for a while to see if I can somehow sell it in the future.

But, if someone really depends on OA as their only source of income, then I personally think that’s not the smartest idea.

Of course, there are things to mitigate the risks such as diversifying brands and having other ventures/investments.

But, at the end of the day Amazon just doesn’t give a f*ck about their sellers because they’re too big and make too much money.

That’s interesting. I read the same thing in an article about finding it difficult to buy a home, especially in California. But more than that, you’re absolutely right this is a key moment when people will look back, and in my humble opinion, probably be looking for somebody to blame!

I recently read an interesting post saying trump had a huge spike in areas where people were finding it difficult to buy a home, and it actually makes a lot of sense and hits home for me personally. I mean the topic hits home not the reasoning for thinking voting for @realDonaldTrump would help me in that regard in anyway!! … Definitely not the whole story but an interesting aspect of this election that will go down in history for sure. the question is what will history say? PSA to all auto dealers!

When someone brings their ICE vehicle in for service work, giving them an electric vehicle when they have no charger or charging setup for a multi-day service IS NOT a good way to transition people to EVs.

One of my coworkers took his ICE Silverado in for service work (this is the 3rd time it’s been in with issues in under a year, go figure), and they gave him an EV Silverado as a loaner truck. The Silverado EV only had 50% SOC and he drives 100mi a day for his commute.

He asked them “so how is this going to work? I don’t have a charger and I drive 100mi/day.”

They “let him” sit at the DCFC on site (50kW ChargePoint) for 30 minutes just to get above 70%.

THIS IS NOT A GOOD LOOK FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES.

He doesn’t know the difference between “fast chargers.” All he knows now is it takes 30 minutes to charge 25%. This is true… be he doesn’t know this is absolute worst case that you’ll never see in the real world.

They ended up giving him his truck back last night because they have to wait for parts and he said “good thing, because I was already down to 100 miles.”

It’s really unfortunate to see how incompetent and/or careless traditional dealer service centers can be. Moves like this make people want to stay as far away from EVs as possible.

This really sucks, a lot of people want to see EV vehicles be a positive and influential aspect of traveling in the future… Notice I said a lot of people and not all of us because the sad truth is not everyone can see the absolute necessity of changing our dependence on fossil fuels. As we can see by this post major car manufacturers and Companies Blinded by generational wealth and power are making decisions to hinder the full scale adoption of a switch to EV just by doing very small and seemingly unwarranted things to make people second guess or even be turned off by owning an EV… these are the things that effect the people who need to fall in love with EV potential, not walk away thinking they made the wrong or bad decision for going electric. @Tesla @elonmusk @EVCarNews @kron4news @KTVU @Ford @NissanElectric @nycgov @allEVehicles @EVehicular @ElectricLit
