@SpursCulture Nothing is guaranteed. Gotta deliver when you get to the finals because it’s HARD to get back. As good as this Spurs team is, you have to get good luck with injuries, matchups, etc to make a run to the finals and those things could easily land against them next year and beyond.
All this whining about the officiating is just hilarious to me. Nobody had this energy 3 years ago when OKC was playing the EXACT same way. It’s just a problem now because they have a chance to win back2back titles and the rest of the league is tired of losing to them #Cope #ThunderUp
The Suns were complaining in the first round about the refs favoring OKC and all the flopping, and now the Lakers are saying the exact same thing. Makes you wonder if the league’s actually gonna address it or just stay silent again.
@ChrisDokish@2_Many_Opinions Dunker absolutely could play early. Also, this is a silly take considering most teams who are trying to compete only play a handful of rookies. It’s not like this team was every going to draft 7 guys that were going to get serious playing time right away
Odd take considering he’s consistently been aggressive with trades/FA signings. He’s bucked a lot of the conservative trends set by Colbert that defined the Steelers for 20 years. Time will tell if he ends up being the right choice, but you can’t say he’s not willing to take risks
@Panther49547104@gpclaw They spent time with him at the senior bowl. Probably felt comfortable enough that they didn’t need to burn a top 30 visit for him
@EricCrum20@Steelersdepot Who’s to say he’s years from starting? Dude was a beast at ASU. Some don’t like that he just started playing football 5 years ago, but that just means he’s only going to get better. Dude didn’t allow a sack all last season. There’s a lot to like here
@TylerSmiley10@ayaajess OKC shot 25 FTs to the Suns’ 22. It was hardly some crazy lopsided FT fest. There were weak ticky tack fouls called both ways. The officiating was poor, but if you step back and look at it the game was called pretty evenly
Another way to frame this:
OKC clinches #1 seed and 60+ wins back to back with their second best player missing 50 games and each of their top 7 players missing a good chunk of games to injury. And still held off a surging Spurs team that only lost 2 games after the break 💪🏻
Bears trotting out practice squad guys at inside LB and Steelers don’t even try to take advantage of it. Your TE room is a supposed strength yet you’re scared to send those guys over the middle to get a mismatch. This team is so unserious. Wake up #Steelers
@ByJoshCarney We have to watch him give up play after play for two drives on Sunday before we move him to the bench…. Slay just doesn’t have it anymore. Pierre has played well in his limited opportunities this year. RIDE THE HOT HAND
@Just_TuggZn Feels like Mason was just taking what the defense was giving him and not trying to do too much. Rodgers has been very good at times this season, but the last couple of weeks he’s been pressing and trying to make the big play instead of just taking the layups that are there.
Mike Tomlin says that Darius Slay will return to the starting lineup this week once healthy over James Pierre, but the team will continue to 'use' Pierre as well.
@steeelerheart Or maybe actually use the WR you spent a 3rd rd pick on who has been making plays since the preseason and get him comfortable and confident in the offense. Wilson can play, and will get better with more reps. Staff continues to minimize his role and hurt his development
@LakersLead Ya, generally if the opposing GM and your own owner react at the idea of trading away your 26 yr old superstar with “Are we serious?” That should probably make you pause and think, “Maybe this isn’t the best idea”
@BleacherReport@dallasmavs If you’re gonna trade a super star in his prime, you better make moves to be competitive now and into the future. If you make that move, you do so understanding that if things don’t pan out you’re not going to keep your job very long. Hard to feel sorry for the guy.
@Alex_Kozora Their fascination with Gainwell is insane. He’s a nice player, but Warren is just better in EVERY facet, and they continue to keep Warren off the field in crucial situations in favor of Gainwell. Kenny G can be a nice complimentary back, but he should NEVER out snap Warren.
What is with this coaching staff? Warren is your best playmaker and you’re not playing him on ANY critical 3rd downs? He’s a guy who can take a swing pass, make a guy miss, and get 7-8 yards to convert a 3rd down. The misuse of personnel this year has been outrageous.
Not surprised. You can’t trade away a top 5 player in his prime for petty reasons. Whether you have issues with Luka or not, he was winning and was insanely popular. Gotta ride it out and do what you can to build around that guy and take advantage of having that kind of talent.
