The trial I always get a lot of weird looks for but trying to see soybean response to reduced sunlight. Often a question we get in a high wildfire year.
If you are or know of a someone (at least 16 years old) in the Stillwater Ok. area, we are still looking for summer help here at Foundation Seed. Great opportunity for a student wanting to learn more about the seed industry. Contact our office if interested.
@J_Rice20 providing a steady hand on the wheel better than RTK. @KateLeeper03 dropping seed for the first time I believe. So if the plot is messed up we'll know who to blame. 😳😬
@OSU_oilseeds crew showed up this morning to put in the #OSU grain sorghum variety trial. 34 varieties going in this year's trial. Daughter @KateLeeper03 came with them and I was able to meet @J_Rice20, Chase & Tori. Always nice to put a face to a name. #supersorghum @T@Tallokie_67

Getting down with the crop. Working on a soybean video series that highlights growth of a soybean crop in Oklahoma. Highlighting management decision growers can make and when are they critical.
Soybean that was planted last Monday (May 27th) was at the VE to VC stage or emergence through cotyledon stage this week. Similar to cotton but unlike crops like corn, sorghum, or wheat, the growth point is exposed and damage can inhibit further development.
