@RyanGarciaESM I agree with a lot of your takes but this one here is mind boggling. He’s not been good. Pitching is more than just throwing a ball as well. Somebody gets on base against Doval then they are stealing and getting in scoring position as well. He’s just not good.
@pamsson I understand what you are saying but the lineup has big flaws. That is why people are concerned. 3 players with a sub .200 average (not including Spencer Jones). Average isn’t the tell all be all but it’s still a glaring issue. Judge struggling obviously doesn’t help either.
@TylerYogi99@rationalyankee I don’t think “Rational Yankee Fan” realizes this is a clip from Talkin BASEBALL” and not talkin Yanks. Even if it was talkin Yanks, they shouldn’t sugar coat anything when talking about the Yankees. Sure, the Yankees are a good team, but they also have their own flaws as well.
@Jomboy_ I’ve noticed a lot of tweets today about what you stated on this weeks bantering with Boone ep. Yanks are taking way too many hittable pitches in the zone. Why do you think this is? Are they being told to be selective? I’ll hang up and listen.
@ColeyMick Idk that I’ve ever seen a baseball fan more butt hurt by the fact that Cam Schlittler is good and 💩 on his favorite team more than this guy. 😂😂😂😂 He actually tweets about it more than Cam does lol
@edrichards714@Travis_Sawchik I can see where you’re coming from and understand what you are saying. Maybe instead of complaining about a salary cap, MLB should look at fixing the rev share from tv deals evenly instead of each team benefiting from their OWN TV deals.
@Keith_McPherson Is this the same Keith McPherson that said there is a standard that should be upheld by the Yankees? Sure doesn’t sound like it. We haven’t just had a sample size of Volpe. We know who he is.
@Nutzypoo_ttv Compare the Chiefs salary cap hits to the NYJ’s (you said NYC is a big market team above). Chiefs are paying 4 players over 24 million dollars a year. Wanna know how many players the big market NYJ’s are paying over 24 mil a year to? Zero. Chiefs chose to invest. Jets have not.
Chris Bassitt, MLBPA executive subcommittee member, on the salary cap debate and why he's against it:
“The salary cap doesn’t fix anything. If you look at every major sport with a salary cap, we have the best parity. The salary cap is not the issue. Having suppressed salaries across the league so owners make more money is not the answer.
"If I would tell you in 25 years, the Dodgers would be going to 10 World Series and winning seven of them, is that an issue? Because that’s the Patriots. The Chiefs have been to what, six or seven? The Philadelphia Eagles have been to four or five. The parity in our sport is better than any other sport.
"We will make changes to try to help the so-called bottom teams out, but a salary cap and suppressing salaries and taking from players to try to help the so-called bottom teams spend more? That’s not the answer. Because if you’re trying to make a competitive league across the board, we have proof that every single league [has] less parity than ours. So how can you sit there and say a salary cap is going to fix this when every single salary cap sport has less parity than ours? It makes no sense.
"Again, the root of the answer is not the salary cap, and the root of why owners want a salary cap is not for competitive balance.”
