The fictional research paper really stood out to me. I realized how much I enjoy stories (movies, video games, books) that mix facts with fiction. Like students, my attitude towards writing can change by genre.

In regards to writing instruction, the idea of encouraging story telling stuck out to me. It highlights the connection between telling stories, orally and through text, and writing. These aspects are connected and can help students improve in communication, reading, and writing.
