@jeff_gluck I’d argue it requires a skill set that shorter races would stifle. Saving tires is an art form and a type of strategy.

That’s a problem. I used to get hyped for watching a race bc I believed I was going to watch a driver do something super human. I don’t get that feeling anymore

Bc the problem isn’t the race. It’s everything else that slows it down. Stage breaks take far too long.

So when race lengths change- everything else will remain. The commercials every 5 mins, the stage break laps.

So then we end up with less of something we love so that the TV can get more commercials in
