Our students know EXACTLY what to do when they walk in the class. It makes it really easy to redirect them and say "you know what you're supposed to be doing right now."

I come from a school where not many kids were literate. I always had been and the way that others looked at you as "the smart one" really helped set in the concept of how important it was to people.

Do student teachers tweet too? Solid 5 for the asynchronous stream. Gives students a chance to be in class if the meet is open, and it allows us to us snippets of instruction in more specific asynchronous modules and videos. #wlfaculty

You have to remember why you do what you do. Days get hard, weeks get long, time tests your patience and your will. I'm lucky to have a passion. I love what I do because someday I'll affect lives in ways I'll never be able to properly understand. I teach for change.
