I also believe in sieving through the many dogshit advice floating in our daily lives and taking only the rare Gem.
Lastly never ever forgetting that at the end of the day “Everyone is an hypocrite”
I personally hate the concept of famzing, life coach and mentorship shenanigans.
No one has lived before, it’s all our first time so we’re all figuring things out.
I believe majorly in learning from people who are experts in their “specified fields”.
If you have younger siblings, you watch yourself turning to your parents slowly without realizing it.
You catch yourself telling them things your parents used to say.
“At your age I used to read my books every day after school”
“All you do is press that phone”
Guy wetin de happen for this Country.
Just one step wey you trek comot for house like 2 people Go don beg you.
You go kon de find Route to escape them. Both people you know and stranger.
People like this should not be allowed anywhere near power.
They sound eloquent but Act on emotions and are very Dumb, let’s say a dumber version of Trump.
The Nigerian Police are Goodness incarnate, so they’ll definitely only target yahoo boys and never do anything for them.
Planes are very complex machines and requires regular checkups and maintenance. The Nigerian people I know will try to cut cost or even bribe whatever body required for monitoring them.
Doctors that use expo to pass, Nurses that hit pregnant mothers cause they can’t push?
@dammiedammie35 This is one of the reasons, using planes here scares me, I can’t trust anything that’s managed by the people of this country.
Doctors, engineers, water, Nepa or light…
I know how Nigerians are by default so I know they’re bound to be some issues.
@Wynwonder@dammiedammie35 I didn’t exempt anything, you just have to calculate your risks.
There’s no denying that these critical services possess greater risk when compared to that of developed countries.
working on, two people died.
For that Nepa instance when working on sth like that I read that In foreign countries there’s a safety protocol the go throug first, many Nigrian don’t care/know about safety.

There’s just too many gross misconduct and unprofessional things I’ve seen for me to trust services offered by Nigerians.
Even down to our cars people drive daily.
I read recently about how a Nepa worker that came late to work went to Put ON a Power line that people were
There was a time the police stopped a tiler coming to do some repair works for me.
He had some tiles that he bought in the car. He presented them with a waybill, but they insisted on the receipt. They held him.
I went to the station with the receipt. When I got there, the first thing I did was to commend the officer for doing his work. I presented the receipt. However, two things provoked me to deep contempt. It provoked me so much that I am certain that our approach of allowing police excesses, massaging their ego, and paying them where we should guide them is creating more problem.
They started from the argument that since the tiler couldn't present the receipt when they asked for it, the receipt is no longer valid. When I showed them how ridiculous such argument was, they moved to the other.
"Oga, shey you know say if that person wey you buy tiles from no get CAC certificate for him company, na you and him we go charge?"
If I engaged a lawyer to step in in that case and his approach was to massage ego and probably "tip" them, I would question his qualifications and consider him a professional misfit.
I always cooperate with the police. When they're on the road doing stop and search, way before it gets to me, I roll down the glass and turn on the inner light (at night).
"Officers, thank you for all you do" is something that I often say. However, I will never play by "their rules" when it is clear that they want to extort or create an issue where none exists.
If a lawyer is going to the police station to "play by their rules", "massage ego", and "wet palms", anyone can also do it. No special skills or training is required.
In fact, if lawyers start elevating those practices as the norm and ideal approach, I advise those with police cases to go with a relative who will do that for them, instead of a lawyer. It saves money. You don't have to pay a professional fee to a lawyer who is not going there to do a professional work.
I am pissed that lawyers could come online to celebrate impunity. Something that we should condemn firmly. We are coming online to poke fun at a lawyer who is doing what is right.
Police themselves lack the gut to come public to state that such is their practice, because they know that it is wrong. Yet, lawyers are promoting it for them at the expense of the people.
It is another level of embarrassment for the profession. For someone doing the right thing to be the butt of a joke from his colleagues? No.
I saw lawyers on the TL yesterday talking about how you shouldn’t be quoting Law for the police and you should basically massage their Ego.
That tells you all you need to know about The Judiciary arm of Government in our country.
A joke!
If you can obtain:
> Marriage to a person you love (with frequent sex)
> Couple kids
> Couple close friends
> Job to cover living + some savings
> In shape with a consistent workout routine
> 1-2 hobbies you engage in weekly
Then you've pretty much hit peak human existence.
This is very common with Women in General, it’s why presenting as the bad boy is the most optimal choice.
Have sex with her, then when that’s out of the way you can decide if you want her or not.
Going through the good boy route will only make you encounter many hoops
@westblaccc If I know that I like you very much and I want something else, I won’t even want to have sex with you first. We have to be something before having sex. If I ever agree to have sex with you before concluding on what we are, then I never wanted you for anything else except sex.
When I took a course in Communication, one of the first things they made me do was slow down my speech.
At the time, I didn’t understand why.
Today, whenever I meet someone who talks very fast, I just smile because I know exactly what’s happening.
In many cases, people who speak quickly have minds that process information at an incredible pace. They move from one idea to another in seconds, often long before everyone else has caught up.
I bet people at Chowdeck have to chase Femi around with a Pen and Paper just to catch up with his thought process.
She isn’t supposed to be complaining, she knew what she signed up for. She’s Just being selfish cause she wants the man to love her so she’ll have the upper hand.
One thing I’ll say though is you should ensure you never fall sick, especially serious illness.
