Am fairly certain no one has ever deserved anything as much as Ben deserves this. Huge for Haaretz. Huge for all of us. Congratulations, @Bsamuels0!!!!

Some career news: I was among the 11 talented storytellers laid off from Axios yesterday.
I’ll always have immense gratitude for the relationships I’ve made and the events I got to cover over the past four years from the Oscars to the Final Four.

Insane stat out of today's @axios San Diego newsletter: local parents are shelling out more than 2x the cost of college tuition for child care in the area. https://t.co/JXmVjzU9Lk

Dropped my son off at his (military facility) daycare today, and he cried when we said goodbye.
Then I walked out thinking "what if the base is attacked and something happens to him and I put him down and said goodbye even though he was sad."
Military families are not okay.
A new program is helping send children of military families to private school so their education + support system isn't disrupted by moves. https://t.co/CgUQh2W8sQ
Millions of middle-class Americans who have ACA health plans are facing soaring premiums in 2026 — and tough coverage choices after the new rates kick in Jan. 1. And it often falls to women to figure out a family's insurance puzzle.

A lot has changed in 2.5 years.
These days I have a barre membership I use ~3x/week. I run, play guitar, read, watch my favorite TV shows, go to concerts, parent, & work full-time.
It took until my youngest was almost 3, and the balance can be wonky, but I did it. I'm happy.
Embarrassing confession: I do not know what I like to do. I have two kids under 3.5 and much of my free time is spent in service of our household or doing the bare minimum for myself, so I do not have any hobbies.
Except, now I need one. Or several.
Parents are turning to golf carts to save money on cars and make getting out of the house easier.
One major problem: kids keep getting hurt.
