🔥🤣 THE SCOTTISH ARE DRINKING ALL THE BEER IN BOSTON LOL
“We have never seen anything like it. The White Bull Tavern… they drank the place dry… all that was left was BUDLIGHT” - Bar Managers
Even the Scots won’t drink Bud Light. It’s true they are assimilating to America perfectly.
Every year, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring.
They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died.
France also gave us this land as American soil. #MemorialDayWeekend
US President Ronald Reagan was shown "WarGames" (1983) at Camp David the weekend it was released. He loved the movie but it also freaked him out. A few days later, at a White House meeting that included the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Reagan asked, “Could something like this really happen? Could someone break into our most sensitive computers?”
The answer came back a week later: “Mr. President, the problem is much worse than you think.” That led not only to a significant revamp of how computer security was handled at the Defense Department, but also passage of an anti-hacking law that would eventually evolve into US Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, 1986. Clips of "WarGames" (1983) were shown during the congressional hearings where lawmakers debated the need for hacking legislation.

P.S: On this day, 43 years ago, John Badham's "WarGames" (1983) premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, France.

Carson Hocevar just won his first NASCAR race then does his victory lap while hanging out of the car. Finishes it off crashing into the wall to do a burnout all while being half out of his car 😂😂😂
This was what running through Golden Gate Park looked like at 99. In San Francisco in 1966, Larry Lewis ran six miles every morning, rain or shine, while the city was still asleep.
Lewis later worked as a waiter at the St. Francis Hotel and remained active well past 100. On his 102nd birthday, he celebrated by running 100 yards in 17.3 seconds, faster than the year before. He joked that the improvement came from wearing proper running shoes instead of street shoes.
Raised on a Navajo reservation in Arizona, Lewis left home at 15 to join the P. T. Barnum Circus as an acrobat and aerialist. He claimed to have worked for decades as Harry Houdini’s assistant and lived to the age of 106, passing away on February 1, 1974.

Have you ever heard of Duke’s secret basketball game?
In 1944, the all-white Duke basketball team faced off against the all-black North Carolina Central University team in an interracial game.
Due to strict segregation laws, the teams had to exercise extreme caution and barred the doors to NCCU’s gym to keep out prying eyes.
NCCU won, 88–44.
They had so much fun that instead of heading home, they mixed their squads and played a second game.
One Duke player later told his family: “We sure had fun and I especially had a good time, for most of the fellows playing with me were Southerners. And when the evening was over, most of them had changed their views quite a lot.”
Today marks the 82nd anniversary of the secret matchup. 💙

“What was the NBA like when you were a kid, Dad?”
“Giants played with dwarfs on teams named after ammo. And it was way better than that shit you watch today.”
