Update 10: Operation Cichoomina Kaayyoo

1. Major Operations in Meettaa Roobii and Jalduu
On January 18, 2025, the Central Command of OLA launched successful operations in Shinoo and Jimaata Goolaa towns, Meettaa Roobii District, and Osolee and Waraabootti, Jalduu District.
Outcome of the operation:
* Neutralized: 110 regime soldiers.
* Wounded: 150.
* Surrendered: 31.
* Seized weaponry and supplies:
* 1 DShK heavy machine gun.
* 121 AK-47 rifles.
* 2 Bren rifles.
* 35 explosives.
* Thousands of rounds of ammunition.

2. Southern Command's Victory in West Guji Zone
On January 19, 2025, the Southern Command overran a regime military camp in Hadaa Loggaa, Bulee Horaa District, and took action at Dhaame, Galaanaa District.
Outcome of the operation:
* Neutralized: 30 regime soldiers.
* Wounded: 21.
* Seized: A substantial cache of weaponry and equipment from the camp.

Meet Kefyalew, Buzuna, and Seenaa: Insights from Captured ENDF Soldiers

Kefyalew Gebre Kassa
Kefyalew is among the ENDF prisoners of war (POWs) captured during Operation Cichoomina Kaayyoo. Originally from Gondar, he represents the tragic story of conscription under Abiy Ahmed's regime. His brother fights for Fano in the Amhara region, underscoring the fragmentation within families now normalized due to Abiy Ahmed’s civil wars. Kefyalew was trained in Bulbula and deployed across multiple conflict zones.

He fought in the Tigray war before being transferred to Oromia, serving in areas such as Wollega (Fincha, Jartee, Gutin) and Central Oromia (Dirre Inchinni, Muger, Wolenchome, Ibsa Angasa). He recounts harrowing defeats, such as the annihilation of an entire regiment and the eventual collapse of the 11th ENDF Division in Dirre Inchinni by OLA forces. In response, the regime hastily reassembled forces from other divisions to form the new 18th Division, highlighting the desperation and disarray within the military command structure.

Buzuna Belachew Abebe
Buzuna is a young Oromo from East Arsi, a student of automotive electronics before being lured into the military. He was falsely promised training for a role in Abiy’s mythical naval force. Apart from conscription, the regime's use of deceit to draw young recruits into a military ill-equipped to support them or fulfil its promises.

Seenaa Nagaraa
Hailing from West Shewa, Seenaa confirms the grim reality faced by ENDF soldiers—living alongside government cabinet administrators in military camps. It is first-hand evidence that underscores the regime's reliance on civilian officials to prop up its failing military, exposing them to risks typically reserved for active combatants.

A Pattern of Lies
The testimonies of these captured soldiers paint a stark picture of the regime’s desperate tactics. The regime forcefully conscripts, or lies to young recruits to entice them into the military, paints an illusion of easy victories claiming that the OLA has been defeated or its commanders have surrendered. These falsehoods not only demoralize soldiers when confronted with reality but also illustrate the regime's desperate attempts to maintain its dwindling military ranks. Their stories are a testament to the deteriorating state of the ENDF and the human cost of Abiy Ahmed's continued genocidal campaigns. #Oromia #Ethiopia #OperationCichoominaKaayyoo

Update 6: Operation Cichoomina Kaayyoo – Regime Cabinet Edition

1. The regime has deployed most of its cabinet members from regional, zonal, and woreda levels into military camps and installations across Oromia to assist with logistics and army leadership. This deployment also aims to confuse and intimidate the public, accusing them of alleged support for the OLA. Many officials now reside within military camps.

2. The OLA has repeatedly clarified that it does not target civilian officials solely for their affiliation with the regime, as long as they refrain from direct involvement in planning, executing, or supporting Abiy Ahmed’s genocidal campaigns against our people. Unfortunately, many have disregarded this warning.

3. Consequently, multiple regional, zonal, and woreda cabinet administrators embedded with the regime’s army have been targeted during Operation Cichoomina Kaayyoo, most recently in Yaayyaa Gullallee.

4. The regime has also been using civilian trucks to transport military reinforcements during battles. While OLA does not target civilian assets, trucks commandeered for military purposes inevitably become subject to such actions.

5. Today, Caffee Tumaa Brigade of OLA’s Harsadee Command entered Woliso district, Garboo town, in South-West Shewa Zone. The brigade dismantled the military camp and took control of the town, forcing regime cabinet members stationed there to flee.

6. Similarly, OLA forces entered Harbuu Culullee in Sadeen Sooddoo district of South-West Shewa and dismantled the regime's military installations. Government cabinet administrators stationed there were captured as they attempted to flee but did not succeed (see attached photo).
