During my interview with Alwan Hassan, APC Presidential Campaign Council spokesman, on Arise TV’s Prime Time, he alleged that “a lot of ministers pay billions and billions” to secure appointments, and then enter office thinking about how to recover their money.
I pressed him on the issue and reminded him that these are ministers that have been put there by the APC.
He said the practice predates the APC. That makes the allegation even more serious.
Who allegedly collects these billions? Who pays? Who is selling public appointments? And are Nigerians ultimately made to pay for it through corruption?
If these claims are true, they demand a credible investigation. If not, Mr Hassan owes Nigerians a clear explanation.
Who are the alleged beneficiaries, and will anyone be held accountable?
Public office is a public trust, not a private investment to be recouped at taxpayers’ expense.

Bro everyone has to be mad at this government, if you’re not mad at this current administration or preaching democracy with everything going on, you’re EVIL.
Today, we remember the lives lost on 20 October 2020. We mourn them and stand with the families whose lives were forever changed by the struggle against police brutality.
Six years later, we must ask: what has truly changed?
From the use of police to disrupt my declaration into the ADC to the poor welfare and housing conditions facing officers, we must confront a system that too often fails both citizens and those entrusted to protect them.
Police officers deserve dignity and decent working conditions. Citizens deserve protection, accountability and freedom from intimidation. Neither should be sacrificed for political interests.
We honour the #EndSARS victims by continuing to demand a Lagos and a Nigeria where institutions serve the people, and power is exercised with responsibility.
May their sacrifice never be in vain.
Former Pension Reform boss Abdulrasheed Maina laundered ₦2 billion from pensioners and moved ₦58.1 million through his son, Faisal.
Maina was released before serving his full sentence but ordinary citizens are gunned down by trigger-happy police officers.
The reactions I get when I make these videos made me realize how easily people forget things. That's why our leaders keep getting away with bad governance.
I hate seeing people lose hope because Tinubu has governors, judges, INEC, the military and senators. Allah gives and takes. Every vote counts. If millions of Nigerians come out to vote, he cannot manipulate a ten-million-vote margin. Come out and vote!
Please Everyone, I need your help.
From the accident, she has fractures in her hand, leg, and pelvic region. The doctor said the surgery will cost about ₦5 million. It is extensive and will be done in two phases.
First they will operate on her hand and leg. When she recovers from that, they will do the pelvic region.
It has been a painful experience. We have already spent so much on drugs and medications just to keep her stable this far. The pain is still there every day.
A lot of you have followed this from the day of the accident. You have seen the updates. You know what this has been like.
Please, if your heart can move you, even ₦1k, ₦2k, ₦5k, ₦10k, or ₦20k from you will help us. Every little bit carries weight right now.
