@cebumd With great power comes great responsibility. We, in the medical field has been given the power to educate, initiate, and advocate. We should practice since it's our responsibility for the good of the Filipino citizens. #cnuvsmmcmicrobio
@cebumd Social media is a good venue to spread HIV awareness. The medical society should go where most people gather like fb, tiktok, twitter and the likes. #cnuvsmmcmicrobio
@cebumd I think due to early detection that's why HIV rates in other countries are decreasing, meanwhile, in our country, there's still fear and shame of being tested with HIV. #cnuvsmmcmicrobio
@cebumd As a medical student, spreading awareness through health education campaigns and through social medias will at least help bridge the gap of knowledge on HIV. #cnuvsmmcmicrobio
@cebumd Further, the never ending stigma that surrounds HIV. Thus, strengthening HIV awareness will come a long way to fight the misconceptions about the disease #cnuvsmmcmicrobio
@cebumd I think one of the challenges is contact tracing. It's hard controlling the spread of the disease when the carrier doesn't even know he/she has one. So early detection is really important. #cnuvsmmcmicrobio
@cebumd @eunice_talisic I think what we should strengthen is HIV awareness emphasizing more on its mode of transmissions and really focus more on the prevention of the disease since not are all willing to be tested for early detection due to the fear and stigma #cnuvsmmcmicrobio
