I just rlly can't get with the movie's characterization of Sonic. Sonic is an aspirational character to me. He's not someone I find to be relatable. Same with Prime like OP stated.

His characterization is incredibly important to me.

I agree with you, especially on the point about autistic people. The reasons why I like him is that he's fully confident in himself even if he may be wrong. He never doubts himself and never assimilates to the ideas of who he should be to the people around him.

I just played Secret Rings and Black Knight in full for the first time this week.

I haven't felt more emotional to see Sonic as I have then. Those two games get his characterization perfect and encapsulate exactly why Sonic is my special interest.

@okalrightafight @128bot_ Sonic isn't a character to grow tho. That's like a core trait. He's a static character and has been in every game, except Lost World. Even in Frontiers he doesn't "grow" or "change". He's a vehicle for everyone else to self-reflect, especially Sage.
