Last weekend's tree planting at JNR was a wonderful event. We planted nearly 100 trees including two types of bamboo. The event was joined by Mussoorie and Dehradun supporters as well as the Mussoorie DFO and her team from the Forest Department.

The forest is starting to come back to life after a week of good rains. New leaves, green grass and even rhododendrons flowering again!

Yesterday evening our fears were realised as a fire broke out on the other side of the hill.

Our young volunteers did a great job in containing the fire on the ridge and not allowing it to spill over into the forest on the other side.
