Yesterday my lil bro called his babe and requested to switch to video call, she said her phone battery was low and her PB is also dead that sebi if he had bought generator for her she wouldn't have this issue.
My lil bro picked the car key and drove all the way to her house, since she said she was home. He got there knocked and realised she wasn't home. He called again to confirm if she was home, without telling her he was already at her house, she confirmed it again. My bro waited in his car, from around 3pm yesterday, hoping she would be back soon, 9pm she wasn't back and her phone was switched off.
He called me to explain the situation to me, i urged him to go back home but he refused, i stayed on call with him till night. So he slept in his car till daybreak and around 6:30am today he saw her coming back home with her pink mini box🤣
Obviously she spent the weekend elsewhere. My poor lil boy is heartbroken. I told the rest of the family what happened and dad told him not to drive, he went there himself to drive him back home.
One of the purest signs of genuine care is generosity without expectation. Pay attention to the people who still think of you, encourage you, or give you something, not because you’re in need, but because they simply appreciate you.
Our home is our first line of defense.
Please avoid letting male non-mahrams - drivers, workers, friends, neighbors - sit around freely or enter private areas of the house.
Even "he’s like family" can become a door Shaytan uses.
I kept my ex’s number after we broke up.
No contact. Just had it.
One day I texted him, just to say I was thinking about him and hoped he was okay. He didn’t respond.
I texted again months later. Same thing.
Then again. And again.
I told myself I was just checking in, that maybe he was struggling, that maybe one day he’d need to know someone remembered him.
People told me to move on, but I thought persistence meant caring.
I thought the silence was something I needed to break.
Nobody talks about the personality shift in your 30s where you no longer want to be impressive, you just want to be rested, regulated, and completely unavailable to anything that drains you
