We didn’t quite make it tonight but we fought a campaign we could all be proud of. Many thanks to my team and to all of you who I was fortunate enough to meet over the last six weeks and an especial thanks to those of you who lent me your vote. A new day is dawning for Britain!
What a 43 days it’s been! I want to thank everyone I’ve met, friend and foe alike, for making this such a hard-fought but enjoyable campaign. We keep going until they shut the doors at the Polling Stations - and thank you to everyone there and at the count - but here’s a recap!
Today’s the day. If you want Change it is there to be had. You just need to go out and vote for it. In this seat in particular that means a vote for Labour. We are the only party who can stop Sir Gavin Williamson returning to the Commons as your MP. Let’s start rebuilding Britain
Our NHS has been under an unprecedented assault since 2010. It badly needs reinvestment and reform to return it to the jewel in our crown it once was. Compassion is the mark of civilisation and the NHS and its staff embody that. Labour will make it fit for purpose once again.
@JacBrownLabour needs YOUR help to overturn a previous @Conservative majority of 20,000+
(New Boundaries apply)
With approximately 6,000 #50sWomen and their partners and families in this new Constituency, they could really make a difference in #GeneralElections2024
@terryelaineh1@Keir_Starmer@david4lcs@AllisonCGardner Your cause is one I have a good deal of sympathy for, for the reasons outlined in my letter. My door will always be open to you as we endeavour to find a solution to this issue in the months ahead.
Voters of SGWP you have the power to ensure this election’s decided in polling booths across the seat tomorrow, not sewn up in a back room on nomination day. Change is within your grasp, but only by putting your cross next to @JacBrownLabour
So just as bloated end of the pier act @BorisJohnson is rolled out to do his tired old schtick, @SuellaBraverman plunges a dozen knives into the back of @RishiSunak We can’t risk another five years of these rats in a sack and their chaos. Vote @JacBrownLabour for Change on July 4
Fear is such a morally bankrupt commodity for a major political party to trade in. If the Tories could boast a fraction of what the last Labour government achieved they might have something positive to say, but they can’t. So they fall back on lies and scare stories.
A glance at some of the hysterical posts from the
Tories shows their desperation. They have nothing positive to offer of their own, no achievements they can trumpet, no hope they can offer. So they try to spread fear about a Labour government, but history tells a different story.
