Is it just me or is AI literally not a huge deal at all and is just a tool to help simplify search results into more conversational answers so we can dig deeper into exactly what we're asking a search engine. People act like its Armageddon Tomorrow or some Revelation of God

@heizzai I'm gonna be completely up front and honest. I know i may sound foolish when i say this, but i dont believe in things like "The Singularity". I just think they are overhyping from what Sci-Fi has made them believe. I'm not afraid, nor am I optimistic. I simply think Ai is a tool

Very good replies, i was just kinda venting, but i forgot all about data centers. I guess the term "AI" can apply to a really vast amount of things. Also i might add that i live under a rock when it comes to this stuff which is why im interested in learning more about this topic

@NCervantes15189 Yeah the images and art is just garbage-slop imo, but people do act like its all-around bad which i think it does shine in a lot of powerful ways. I personally use chat gpt as a conversational tool to get the creative juices flowing initially or for very specific questions
