We successfully concluded the Somali Civil Society Summit 2025, #CSSummit2025 organized by @SONSA_NSA held last four days 8thโ10th December, where we launched the Civil Society Strategic Engagement Framework 2026-2030, followed by the final validation session on the 11th that incorporated key inputs and adjustments from diverse stakeholders.
As a member of civil society office @SONSA_NSA, it was a great honor to be the facilitators of this big gathering, which brought together #CSOs, government representatives, the international community, donors, @UN agencies, and other diversity of key actors from across the country.
The Summit served as an important platform for deep discussions, thoughtful reflections, and collective insights on strengthening the role of civil society in Operationalizing the HumanitarianโDevelopmentโPeace (HDP) Nexus in Somalia. Over the three days, we witnessed strong collaboration and a shared commitment to advancing accountability, resilience, peacebuilding, and inclusive development.
The outcomes and dialogue generated during the Summit have laid a solid foundation for continued cooperation and unified action toward Somaliaโs stability and progress.

They spent time exploring how Somali CSOs are driving change through community-led initiatives, innovation, and local expertise.
Their engagement reaffirmed a shared commitment to strengthening civil societyโs role in Somaliaโs progress.
