My claim is that the do-computation-by-mail scenario that OP put forward as an argument against LLM consciousness applies to all existing things, including all humans.

The point is it's a fully general proof that physical things don't have consciousness (if it were valid in the first place).

@glangley How does data deletion contribute to transparency, auditability, accountability? Seems to me it's the opposite of those things. Does Flock support indefinite retention periods? To be blunt, why even offer anything less?

@foomagemindset @gcolbourn I thought that language would be intractable, that we'd still be banging our heads on it in 2050 and that would be why RSI wouldn't happen. Now I think RSI is likely and probably not in decades timescales, so now I just hope (but don't think) EY is wrong and alignment is trivial.
