Brit, Brighton fan, Chinese language graduate. Worked in game design for NE Games China. Got laid off, went viral. Now creating content on Chinese social media
Jack Forsdike documented his ordeal working for one of China’s tech giants — and became a symbol of the industry’s grueling labor practices.

@ryanadsett Bad attitude when he was with us, matured greatly after he left and became a father. Some signings are just right player at the wrong time, impossible to predict at that moment. Same with Chelsea and De Bruyne/Salah.
@ZeusGrobbelaar@juasanalghaib 1. This specific flag looks very similar to the fascist imperial Japanese rising sun flag, so a lot of Chinese people confuse the two.
2. If China were to hold a world cup, all security and officials would 100% get training to prevent controversies like this. Flags aren't banned.
@ZeusGrobbelaar@juasanalghaib Foreign flag? I live in China and literally just bought an England flag online yesterday to hang up for the World Cup. Back in 2022 there were bars in China with all the World Cup participants' flags hung up as decor too. That's nonsense
@L_BHAFC It makes sense that this is about the biggest step up he can make and still (probably) guarante a starting spot. His lack of pace and especially the errors leading to goals have most likely scared off the bigger teams you're mentioning
@BHAgullski Our recruitment model was probably the main topic during the recruitment process and negotiations, if he didn't agree with it or wanted to challenge it I can't believe they wouldn't have realised this before they hired him.
@BHAgullski He either left of his own accord due to some personal issues, got tapped up, or Bloom and Co got a better look at him and thought he wasn't up to the job after all. If he wanted to bring in players outside the model he wouldn't have been brought in in the first place surely.
@BlownUpCapital@freemanjiangg Wrong, you're calling a telephone hotline for help. If your Chinese is fluent they don't even know what ethnicity you are, regardless they'll call the hotel directly and tell them to fix it or face fines.
@jackalbion96 I think it's just trying to say it feels like the end of an era? Guardiola and Salah both saying their farewells is quite something to be fair, two of the biggest names in the PL over the last 5 years or so.
@TheAthleticFC Weird that there's two Brighton players and neither of them are Brighton players' player of the season (Welbeck) or Brighton fans' player of the season (Kadioglu)
@OfficialBHAFC I really dislike this kind of artificial scarcity value creation from the club. £150 pounds because the club's purposefully printing limited numbers? I could go to any factory and get exactly the same quality of shirt made for £30 max.
@WhileTravelling Funny, saw this tweet after I've just finished a holiday in Guangxi where I explored some of the cave systems there, very similar karst landscapes with some incredible sinkholes, I'd recommend a visit if you get the chance
