My first piece for @ConHome:
“Is the Conservative Party facing a Liberal-style collapse?”

No party collapses overnight - until suddenly it does.
The real risk isn't electoral defeat. It's becoming irrelevant to voters.
The closure of Immanuel College after 35 years announced today is incredibly sad.
A Jewish school rooted in community gone, with the school itself pointing to Labour’s VAT policy as a key factor.
The UK government is now reportedly blocking Kanye West's entry on 'public good' grounds.
Governments used to get dragged into cultural fights - now they draw themselves in almost instantly.
Interesting how reactive things have become.
@GBNEWS Universities need to work out the difference between widening access and lowering standards. The latter risks devaluing the degrees students work hard for.
🗳️Turnout in the May 7th elections will be telling.
Politics saturates our feeds and lives like never before, yet I suspect turnout will remain low.
The gap between constant engagement and actual voting says more than any poll.
@markofagenius Not sure polling tells the full story here. I think voters are more likely to give them a chance locally now when the perceived risk is lower. These elections are looking like a toss-up between Reform and the Greens. Small polling dips are unlikely to change that.
