Induction progressing steadily, waiting some more time before reaching the last leg.

Induction process is progressing as expected. Next check up at roughly 4:15.

Laura was about to go in for a C-section, but then baby’s heartbeat pattern suddenly improved, so are now continuing induction process.

Still going. Laura & baby fine. Laura has had an epidural so just carefully monitoring baby and gradually increasing oxytocin drip trying to get contractions regular so she dilates and can get baby out.

Laura now on liquid morphine, codeine & paracetamol for the pain. Still hurts. Surges might need to be slowed down if they are coming too quickly.

@Lauralexmck is beginning to having regular surges, meaning that her cervix is beginning to dilate. Waiting to be having 2-3 1 minute contractions over a 10 minute period and for her cervix to be 4cm dilated. She’s already a superstar.

@Lauralexmck beginning to get what feel like consistent tightenings. Tenz machine installed and set to 2/15 power - “This thing is brilliant”

Not much happening right now. Occasional pain. Went out to grab lunch. Laura bouncing on her ball. I got told off for sleeping on her hospital bed.

First stage of @Lauralexmck Induction process now started with pessary. Very uncomfortable “like shoving a screw up there”. Baby being monitored now to see reaction.

Back at hospital after a relaxed night at home. @Lauralexmck Induction process should begin shortly. #Labor #birthing

Both headed home for the night. Back 9am for induction once ward is quieter.

Possibly both being sent home overnight as inductions are on hold.

Back on the ward. Heartbeat fine and consistent. Consultant led ward is rammed so new inductions have been stopped until tonight. @Lauralexmck maybe induced over night. Visiting hours end at 9pm 😓

Being moved from antenatal ward to the consultant led unit as struggling to get a consistent read of baby’s heartbeat. And she got the pool room! Score!
