@ianpacemain Not “total” serialism, but as a student I played Schoenberg & Webern for Susan Bradshaw & was excited to speak personally to Stockhausen. It was just peer pressure, not my actual preference: I merely wanted to please as these were the “in” composers at college & on the BBC.
