No one can dispute the accuracy of Mayor Mamdani’s speech about Benjamin Netanyahu, which is why the Israel government's worst enablers have spent the past week effectively claiming that criticism of Netanyahu is the same thing as criticizing the Jewish community. This is deeply dishonest and incredibly dangerous.

The truth is that Israel advocacy groups simply cannot tolerate any criticism of the Israeli government, even criticism focused exclusively on Benjamin Netanyahu. They are also willing to risk conflating the entire Jewish community with Netanyahu. This is dishonest and dangerous.

WATCH: London Mayor Sadiq Khan says he would urge the UK government to enforce the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant if Netanyahu visited London.

"I do believe a genocide is being committed in Gaza. I think Netanyahu is responsible," Khan told Channel 4 News. "As a perpetrator of genocide, I think he's broken the law... justice needs to happen."

Asked whether he would push the government to act, Khan replied: "If there is any evidence of him coming to London, I'll be lobbying the prime minister to make sure the law is enforced."

When asked if Netanyahu was welcome in London, Khan responded: "People who commit genocide are not welcome in London."
