Hudl | ScrumMaster | Former Football Coach

[Doug Samuels 🏈 @CoachSamz]

Live replay has been one of the best things Hudl has done in years.

[Elliott Bulling @Ebull53]

What does Focus Replay actually look like? Let me walk through it for you. 👇

In year 13 with @LNEfb, using this exclusively the past 2 years has made game day stress-free. No gear to haul or set up.

Using data to find the right plays, adjust, and impact the game.

[Spencer Dorn @CoachDorn95]

If you're a coach who says Classic is easier to navigate than the new Hudl experience, send me a DM and tell me why! I want to hear more about this; y'all are leaving us with just that, and we can't fix what we don't know!

[Greg Nelson @GregJNelson]

So here's my ask.

Open Hudl this week. Break down a quarter or a practice. That's it.

If it's worse than Classic, come tell me on here. I'll read it, same as I did all spring.

If you haven't tried it by the end of this fall, you're going to wish you had.

[Greg Nelson @GregJNelson]

A coach said he'd drive to Lincoln and fight us if we took away Classic from football coaches.

Finally, I think I can talk him out of it...as you'll see in the thread, Classic workflows and layouts are back, and a lot more.

I've coached all 16 years I've worked at Hudl. High school HC, college OC at an NAIA school. I live football like you do. I tried using the new Hudl exclusively during spring ball and couldn't. Tough look.

I know every click costs time. Time is whether I get to do bedtime with my kid or I'm eating dinner at my desk. So I made a list. Every detail that kept me from doing my job. The team took it seriously.

I told them I was ready to go back to Classic and never look back.

This weekend, I gave Hudl another go. For the first time in a long time, I'm fired up to use it this fall.

Our team fixed a ton of the flows coaches love in Classic. And we built some things Classic never had.

The fixes: can see more information, the folder tree is back, drawing no longer plays the video, undo is back, the timer stays on screen, etc. The basic stuff that isn't so basic, it’s vital.

The new stuff: reports live next to my film. Titan data tied to the actual clip. AI scouting reports before I run a single query. Video on a second monitor. New stuff that's making me more efficient as a coach than ever.

Check out the thread for a more detailed breakdown on everything 👇

[Mike Pfiester @Coach_Pfiester]

We all love to hammer @Hudl for their shortcomings but in all fairness I think we need to applaud this new library layout! Blending new tools with the familiar layout is outstanding!

[Coach Tom Yashinsky @CoachYashinsky]

All jokes aside.... New interface on Hudl is really slick.... Looks like Old Hudl, acts like New Hudl (But Old Hudl is still there if you want to use it!)
Apologies to @Nathaniel_Pat for blowing up his mentions/ inbox earlier. The folder system is elite.

[Hudl Football 🏈 @HudlFootball]

You asked, we listened.

Now you can maximize your screen space and watch video in a separate window while using the new version of Hudl.

To get started, click on the ‘video pop out’ icon on the bottom right of the video player.

[D'Angelo Russell @Dloading]

Watching game minutes on @Hudl with the @AppleVisionPro is a must

@damonbenning @HuskerHoops @SammyG_22 @LifeAtHudl What’s up, coach! Long time, no see. We’ll have to catch up soon and I’ll let you explain the “IQ” nickname to my wife… she’s not buying my side of this story! 😂

[Jack Saxton @JackHudl]

What a night at the @HuskerHoops game! Pulled off the W and this little guy got to meet his all-time favorite player.

Thanks for making this two-year-old’s night, @SammyG_22 - we’ll be hearing about this high five for a long time!

And thanks to @LifeAtHudl for having us out!

[Sam Griesel @SammyG_22]

Was a pleasure meeting a fellow Sam. Appreciate the support!❤️❤️❤️

.@Hudl's @jmwirtz on launching AI cameras for sports film: “We work with elite teams, … but how do we take what those teams are doing, who have analysts and camera people on staff, and bring that all the way to high school teams and club teams throughout the world?”

[John Wirtz @jmwirtz]

We place a big emphasis at @hudl on autonomy to work the way that fits you best - location, times, approach. So cool to hear the positive impact that comes from giving great people space to be great.

We've made some improvements to @HudlFootball Beta video performance
