I followed the case closely. The courts issued terminating sanctions against Alex. This has never happened in a civil case where the defendant showed up for every deposition. New "rules" were created. It was a disgrace.

Much larger numbers of young Americans need to study and work abroad - go through the tedious bureaucracy of getting visas/work permits/proof of health insurance - so they understand in their bones how absurd it is that we just allow anyone to come here with no process at all.
