"A few days ago, Syrsky spoke about the Russian counteroffensive near Kursk. He spoke about intense fighting, about a difficult situation, and these are rare words from his lips. So we wanted to check what he was saying. We managed to contact one of the Ukrainian fighters who is still there at the moment," the reporter said.

"So that you understand what is happening in the Kursk region, for our infantry it is a one-way street. We still hold three sectors. Sudzha, Velika and Malaya Loknya, an area about 13 km long and 11 km deep. We are completely under enemy fire. We leave the bodies of our people where they are. No one is looking for them.

Today my section was attacked by tanks. Almost everyone died. I didn't even know these guys. This is already the third, fourth wave of replacements in our unit. We had to retreat.
