I don’t agree with all of @YardsPerGretch’s rankings - but I find his interactive redraft cheat sheet so intuitive & helpful for drafting, I use it anyway (& make any mental adjustments to suit my preference). I highly recommend it. https://t.co/cILl2pXefg
@RyanJ_Heath And yes, replacement level value at QB is easier to come by, but isn’t that accounted for in your definition of league winner? If it was so easy to replace Josh Allen production, he wouldn’t be a league winner (as you define it) so often, would he? 4/4
@RyanJ_Heath The difference is the certainty factor - instead of speculating on who might be the next round 3 league winner (once the first two rounds of RBs/WRs are gone), and maybe having a 1/8 (say) chance of being right, why not take the nearly guaranteed league winner? Why risk it? 3/n
@DavisMattek I like Burden and am drafting him some at his current price. I’m just not doing it because his coach said he’s good. Lots of coaches like the guys they draft and say nice things about them. It worth mentioning but isn’t the slam dunk argument-ender your posts imply it is.
@DavisMattek You may well be right. I do not recall the details… just recall thinking in my own head that it was almost certain he’d be placed on PUP at least, and maybe limited thereafter.
@chrishook94@JakobSanderson Funny, I was going to say just the opposite - that it seems likely his usage might shift considerably over time (not to mention game-by-game), so really never a safe cut. It may be that Hunter defies any simple categorization, which makes sense given his singular circumstances.
I heard this stale talking point last year - ‘look how many times he’s been cut you think he will eat into JCM’s touches? lol @ you’ - before he ate into JCM’s touches heavily. You can think Tuten is better and will consolidate carries without suggesting CRod is bad or worthless.
@LegendaryUpside@PatKerrane@kyletweetshere Which isn’t to say there are no reasons to be higher on Burden than there are Golden - most notably their college performance - but the “barely got on the field” charge applies to them both.
@LegendaryUpside@PatKerrane@kyletweetshere The stark difference in the way the bestball brain trust treats Golden and Burden after their first year needs to be studied. The very same arguments treated as basically disqualifying for one are treated as irrelevant if not bullish for the other.
@HaydenWinks Hayden - You guys have been an essential part of my relatively short my FF career. Really looking forward to your next venture - we’ll all be there to support you and Josh wherever you land. Godspeed.
The number of likeable/reasonable Americans saying “regardless of how we got” to their preferred result - in short, the ends justify the means - is pretty jarring for a country that prides itself on the rule of law. But it does a good job of explaining Trump’s popularity.
@Shamsdale I don't claim to be an expert on soccer but many people that I follow and respect their soccer knowledge seem to have the same opinion as me: it was a bad call. So regardless of how we got there, I remain glad that the mistake was corrected.
