In America we tend to think of Asian as Chinese, Japanese, Korean etc. She’s just asking are you referring to India, Pakistan, Vietnam, etc.

There have been plenty of people in Washington over the years that I didn’t agree with. Anyone who has followed me for any length of time knows that.

But I have never allowed my feelings about a politician to diminish my love for the United States of America.

Honoring our fallen. Respecting those who serve. Preserving our history. Celebrating our nation’s achievements. Marking the milestones that define us as a people. These things should never be partisan.

Presidents come and go. Political parties rise and fall. America remains.

As our nation approaches its 250th birthday, I’ve been genuinely surprised by how many people seem unwilling to celebrate America simply because they dislike the person currently occupying the White House.

Your love of country should not be dependent on who is in power in Washington.

Patriotism isn’t loyalty to a politician. It’s love for a nation, its people, its ideals, and the generations of Americans who sacrificed to leave us something worth preserving.

I don’t need to agree with every president to be grateful for the country I call home.

I never have.

And I never will. 🇺🇸
