Back in 2020, right as COVID first started, I was so bored at home that I watched UFC 229. I had never seriously watched a combat sport event.
In the main event, Justin Gaethje beat Tony Ferguson in a primal and brutal display of dominance and he immediately became not only my favourite fighter, but the reason I fell in love with MMA, and eventually began training myself.
It irreversibly changed my life and set in place a chain of events that allowed me to develop into the person I am today.
I have been waiting since that moment for him to finally win an undisputed championship and I always knew he would even when he lost at his first two attempts.
This entire sequence, especially watching live, was the best live event I have ever seen. Simply flawless production.
welp con is over. good memories made. shoutout to the friends that made it fun and the love of my life โค๏ธ for making my life so epic
