@trevormccue The Super Bowl window existed because of a completely dominant O Line. That should be priorities 1 and 2 on this team. The O line went from uncertain to maybe the most promising and youthful line in the league. This alone makes the offseason a success.
She was their political tool. They chose her because of her lineage and house. She wasn’t trained to serve the faceless men, she was trained to serve the god of death. This is why she got a second chance. This is why they accepted her into their order despite the fact that they knew she had never abandoned her Stark identity. The show did a great job of conveying this when Ja’qan Hagar displays a faint smile after she told him her name is “Arya Stark”. That was the path they always wanted for her. For all the plot holes in the show this is not one.
@tjmcaulay Shut. The. Fuck. Up. You want one of the greatest moments in college basketball history ruined over something that does not impact the game in any way.
There’s a newspaper clipping I saw a while back that included a quote from one of the SEALs who would be killed in Extortion 17. He was asked about being gone from home and fighting in the Middle East. He said one of the ways he found comfort was believing he was fighting these wars now so his kids wouldn’t have to. The article ran in 2009. This is just another lie our Government keeps telling us.
Tuck Rule. For some people success breeds success. Tom Brady evolved into the GOAT. I think that evolution is in part due to the confidence his early success inspired as well as the discipline and drive he’s now famous for. My hunch is that play was more consequential than 1 SB. It lead to a dynasty and launched what would become the greatest career in NFL history.
I feel like people completely miss that this whole process was magic. Jacken recruited Arya because she’s a Stark and has magic in her blood and could therefor learn this magic. They aren’t just wearing someone else’s skin. They become that person. Face, hair, voice. Why would the body be any different?
@amyknowsball My grandpa used to say he’d start watching the NBA when they raised the hoop. I’m sure there were some racist undertones in there but yes. This is 100% true.
@samtripoli It’s the only reason it exists. You don’t need guaranteed protection to say the thing everyone agrees with or the thing that’s not controversial.
