I normally work on software (and probably should stay there) but managed to save a laptop by replacing a 1mm long fuse. BTW this is not a clean fix, it just works

In 2015 and again in 2017 I traveled with Hampshire and UK Scouts to Tanzania to complete a medical center and primary school respectively. I am now at the end of a pre visit for my next project (another medical center) which will be completed next year.

I think there is a better solution. I understand that the method which is currently used helps people find alternatives if their display is no longer in production but, buying a display and being send a cheaper alternative with lower specs and no money back is not OK.

Why is it that most listings for laptop screens say they will provide a compatible alternative if none are available of the one you ordered? Often the seller cannot even tell you which one you will get when asked specifically.
