Just-in-Time approach in ID is more flexible, cost effective and easily used in today's classroom. However, there can be lack of expertise in ID design, quality control and many time constraints. All which can be challenging for today's teachers.

In an ideal world the formal process in ID design would preferred. A team would be available for expertise collaboration and quality assurance. However, this process requires a significant amount if time and money, this isn't available in today's classroom.
