The hacker who accessed Vitalik’s Twitter account ended up stealing $524.3K of user funds in under 1 hour.

Most of this came from a single user, bokkypoobah.eth, who unfortunately lost 2 cryptopunks.

But it could have been much worse -

By sheer luck/coincidence, PinkDrainer’s script sent the 2 least valuable Punks from Bokky’s wallet before he realized what was happening

The remaining 3 Punks that he holds are all Zombies. They’re worth between $700-$800K each - more than the total value drained by the hacker.

So there is a silver lining to this story - it could have been much worse.

0x2B6, the 22nd largest ETH wallet, received 250K ETH in the Genesis Block.

Breaking: Arkham has identified the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust’s holdings on chain.

It is the 2nd largest BTC entity globally, holding >$16B of BTC.

Though Grayscale publicly reports balances, they have refused to identify the on-chain addresses of the trust.

The Stake Hacker removed ~$41M from Stake Hot Wallets in a series of “unauthorized transactions” on Monday.

Since then the hacker has begun moving the funds cross-chain.
