@dsoltesz I'm not sure how the BBB tax could be used for parking as they are two separate things. The BBB tax supports 5 things to be best of my knowledge - tourism, beautification, arts & sciences and 2 more that I'm forgetting!

@dsoltesz Many downtown business are supportive as it encourages parking turnover, which is vital. They've also added kiosks that accept cash. I'm personally happy to pay $1/hour for a service that is appropriately managed instead of an unmanaged cluster of people endlessly circling.
