@BaltCitySchools BDS was NOT evaluated on math and science since fewer than 5% of students passed those tests, MSDE did not release the number of test takers so USnews just omitted that data. City college for instance outperformed BDS in all 3 tests but was ranked lower.
@MrsSheehanMath@Desmos @desmosclassroom I appreciate you looking at it @MrsSheehanMath! I'm hoping to use the it wholesale with just a few adjustments. Calc Medic references this activity for an AP PreCalc lesson so I imagine other ppl will want to make adjustments too!
@desmos @desmosclassroom Is it possible to access the CL for "What's My Transformation?" - I can't copy/edit because it contains a deprecated feature. Recreating w/o the CL is beyond my skill level!
I've written a lot about data communications over the years, particularly in Haiti and Nepal. The same problems are here in the US COVID response. And I want everyone to understand... Data obfuscation is *intentional.*
With all of these elementary schools going virtual @BaltCitySchools, high schools need to as well. High schoolers don’t magically have less COVID than the younger kids … you just test fewer of them.
@sophgermain This will sound strange (and I learned it from Tik Tok 🤦🏻♀️) but I keep super sour candies like Warheads in my purse in case I’m spiraling. I think they help ground you. I’ve stopped a few panic attacks in their tracks since carrying them.
People not understanding why teachers are nervous about being in classrooms right now is the height of people not understanding how schools actually operate.
