The Future Leaders Essay Collection for the Coalition for Global Prosperity’s 2025 cohort has just been launched, featuring my own essay alongside work from an impressive group of peers.

In my piece, drawing on my time in Uganda with CGP and the Future Leaders programme, I argue that if Britain is to retain influence abroad and keep people safe at home, defence and aid must stop being framed as alternatives and instead be designed, measured, and justified as part of the same strategy.

With keynote contributions from Dame Penny Mordaunt, Baroness Curran, and Ambassador Manar Dabbas, the collection is well worth a read for anyone interested in foreign policy and Britain’s global role.
