Guys, the eight loans in this Anambra document are not loans that Anambra State government under H. E. Peter Obi INDEPENDENTLY went into the international market and borrowed DIRECTLY from foreign lenders.

These are FEDERAL GOVERNMENT loans so there is no way Peter Obi “borrowed for frivolous things”.

For example, NEWMAP was a Federal Government/World Bank project involving Anambra and other states. The World Bank documentation identifies the Federal Republic of Nigeria as receiving the IDA credit, with Anambra’s State Project Management Unit implementing the Anambra component.

Fadama III involves financing arrangement in which the Federal Government secured the loan while the states contributed counterpart funding.

These loans were neither INDEPENDENTLY or PERSONALLY sourced by the administration of Peter Obi.
