The #RedRoadFire in Jack County is 750.4 acres and 100% contained. Texas A&M Forest Service responded to a request for assistance as the fire was active and in rough terrain. The cause of the fire was a roadside start due to a trailer piece dragging on the roadway. #txfire
Update: the #DanaPointFire in Bell County is an estimated 71.5 acres and 85% contained. Crews are continuing to mop up and patrol the fire area. #txfire
Since Friday, Texas A&M Forest Service has responded to 26 fires for 1,115 acres burned. Of those 26 fires, 17 were located in East Texas while the largest fire was the 750-acre #RedRoadFire in Jack County. Please be cautious with outdoor activities that may cause a spark!
