Approx. 250 rock bags are being placed along a 50-metre stretch of beach in #Thorpeness a village where a number of properties are threatened by coastal erosion.

Students from Kirklees College in Huddersfield have used 3D printing to recreate a section of the town's Broad Canal.

The project is a collaboration between Canal & River Trust and Jackson Civil Engineering who is working in the area to improve the towpath besides the canal.

A Jackson Highways team, working on behalf of National Highways, installed a new footbridge over the A21 in Kent earlier this month.
The lifting in of a replacement bridge – known locally as Old Cock Footbridge - took place with a weekend full road closure near Tonbridge.

In Huddersfield, where Jackson is upgrading 5km of canal towpath on behalf of the Canal & River Trust, Public Liasion Officer Phil Waines led thirty Year 5 students from Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School on a nature trail along the waterway.

Jackson engineers working at Sizewell took some time out from site to inspire local schoolchildren interested in pursuing engineering as a career. They visited nearby Stowmarket High School in Suffolk where they talked to students about routes into the profession.
