A special event for the 1A/2A Programs hiding way out west in the Smoky Mountain Conference.

We're heading to @jacketsbbt828 on July 26th for the 1st ever Smoky Mountain Scout Day.

We have seen the talent in the most western region of WNC but it needs refinement and some guidance as to where to look for college fits. Outside of @YHCBaseball and @CatamountBSB, there's not much for college baseball options in the region.

We're bringing a few Coaches with us to provide Player Development opportunities for the 2027s, 28s, and 29s in attendance. @NovaXkinetics will also be there to provide some metrics feedback.

Invite is open to Smoky Mountain Conference schools, GA and TN border High Schools, and other WNC prospects I've scouted or that have been recommended by their High School, Legion, or Showcase Coach

Kid hits nukes and was up to 87 mph on the bump this year. Absolutely dominated the Smoky Mountain Conference, like all most unfair levels of dominance

Strong, physical, and humble, he's going the JUCO Route w/ @CaldwellCCBase1, and even if it takes him a minute to adjust from the small HS school environment to the College level speed of the game, you're going to hear this young man's name again soon

I continue to be amazed with the level of potential in @TDeaton_22's 2026 Recruiting Class. They got a really good Student Athlete with Sellers

He generates a lot of pop with his swing and his FB has been climbing towards the high 8s. Sellers has a chance to be a special prospect via the JUCO Route

What a huge week for Senior RHP/1B @JacksonSel50139 of @jacketsbbt828 . They went into last week tied for 1st Place in the Smoky Mountain Conference with Andrews. However, in two games, Jackson made the Yellowjackets presence know, helping lead them to their 29th Conference Title since 1970.

In Game 1, he threw a 5 inning Complete Game No-Hitter while striking out 11. In both games combined, offensively, he was 4 for 5 w/ a HR, 2 2Bs, 2 BB, 3 R, and a grandiose 10 RBIs! It may be small school baseball, but this was a BIG TIME performance from the @CaldwellCCBase1 Commit, Jackson Sellers

What an amazing Smoky Mountain Conference Championship Game!

Hayesville claims their 29th SMC Title since 1970, but not after Andrews attempted a late inning comeback in the bottom of the 7th featuring a Grand Slam by Kelby Waldroup. But @JacksonSel50139 6 RBIs for the Yellowjackets was just too much for the Wildcats to handle.

Saw a lot of promising young talent on both sides! Keep supporting 1A/2A Small School Baseball!

Jackson is too humble to tell you that he's the best player in the Smoky Mountain Conference, so I'll tell you. He's worked hard to push his FB up into the mid 8's and there's a lot more to come. He also swings a load bat and could develop into a 2-way threat for Coach @TDeaton_22

Jackson made his commitment a couple months back but wanted to wait until basketball season was over and baseball season was in full swing to announce. Jackson is part of a very strong 2026 Cobras Recruiting Class
