Here are a few more pictures from yesterday’s run to Maggie Valley. The very full trailer and pickup truck of donated supplies were divided up between the Maggie Valley relief center at City Hall and a nearby church that is helping folks up in the mountains surrounding Maggie.

Maggie Valley/Junaluska has been good to our driving group for the last 25 years, sharing their friendliness and community with us. Come Monday we’re heading to North Carolina to give back a very small portion of the love they’ve shown us. It won’t make a big dent but hopefully it will make a small difference. Thanks to Greg P. and all who coordinated and contributed to this effort.

Jackson UMC celebrates the 100th anniversary of the present church building and parish house this week. The first service held in the new building was May 11, 1924 and the first picture shows what the sanctuary looked like then, compared to the present. Many paved the way for us!

Our JUMC Delegation to #NGAC23 on the final day of Annual Conference. They had a had a great conference and we also were awarded a Church of Excellence award this year! Thanks to everyone @ConnectNGUMC for all the hard work making this a success!

Our delegation to the #NGAC23 departs for Athens today and tomorrow. Please keep all of clergy and lay delegates attending the North Georgia Annual Conference in prayer this week as they handle the business of the UMC in North Georgia.
