Understanding consent has never been the issue. Respecting consent is.
To respect consent, you must respect someone’s personhood and bodily autonomy. Patriarchy teaches us not only to disrespect both, but to deny their existence.
@spookydoobies I texted an awkward joke to the guy who raped me that night after stumbling out of his car and falling to the ground. He refused to stop the car so I literally fell out of his car. He was awful, and I just made a joke.
Years later, I went through tons of therapy bc of it.
@cozyplup What the actual eff?! That’s such a disgusting comment. I’m so sorry.
We are all here for you and in this together. We have to be in order to overtake these monsters of human beings. ❤️

I have nothing else to say to anyone supporting these boys, the campus police, and/or anyone else who failed this girl.
Any attacks towards me at this point will get you blocked or ignored.
it's okay to have experienced assault that sits in a gray area, not want or seek formal recourse, and still grieve for the terrible ways it hurt you and the culture that allows it to happen so casually and so perpetually btw
I wanted to share something relatively mundane in comparison to what happened at Cornell, because every day versions of my story happen. Was it rape? No. Was it wrong? Yes, and no one stepped in. It took these people being personally impacted by this man for his poor behavior to matter to them. It is everyone’s responsibility to say something when they see something wrong. Not doing so only enables it.
Follow the money on the Cornell 7 (Part 1). Epstein ties, Leon Black’s wife, and why I think this “police report” could have been “coached” and doesn’t accurately reflect the victim’s statement.
Cornell has some explaining to do.
@mo0nandsaturn@bdk1521 The past few days have been horrifying on here. So many men coming out with their pitchforks raging at females for understanding the nuance of this case, based upon their own stories and stories of girls they know. Men wanting us to shut up and twisting every word we say
