Cool interaction in PrEP Clinic last week: asked a patient their pronouns, gender identity, sex assigned at birth, etc, as per usual. They were very thankful and this opened up to a great connection w the patient. This is important!!!

Pt had a terrible experience w a PCP while trying to get PrEP—provider had shamed the pt and cited side effects of PrEP to dissuade them. Great example of personal biases leading to misinformation and poor care. PrEP has minimal side effects and is 99% effective.

Traumatic injury to the spleen resulting in two pseudoaneurysms in the upper pole. The areas were treated using a single 60cm @PenVascular packing coil by interventional radiology (#IRad). The patient was discharged within 48 hours after the injury.
