@mint We lost my Dad this year😔. Mint has been a blessing to get us back on track financially. I use it to monitor family expenses and started an emergency savings goal for my Mom👩👧. It reduces my anxiety🙈to see the goals & expenses visually. Thank you 4helping #TimeToMint#Contest
@mint Love my job, and am lucky to have it. But a woman needs to retire some day! Using Mint to track monthly contributions🏋️♀️🏋️♀️🏋️♀️👩💻#TimeToMint#Contest
Is anyone here a @GoogleFi user? Am trying to become one, but am having tough time with their customer service. Any experience with their service is appreciated. If it's going to be this frustrating, will go with a different carrier.
@googlefi I was trying to become a new customer, but your advertised promotion isn't working and your customer service rep hung up on me after 45 minutes.
Why are funders:
-Waiting for the dust to settle? The struggle is NOW.
-Supporting response, recovery, THEN reimagining? Latter is happening now. Miss the window to lay new foundations + we're forever stuck in this cycle of hell.
-Asking us to pick 1 issue? The SYSTEM is broken.
I’m no epidemiologist and no public health expert. I do believe passionately in science and also in #Factfulness. This man is the global authority on the spread of disease. If you are a leader (in any capacity) watch this. If you are not, watch it too.
In these days of anxiety, I wanted to find a way to continue to share some of the music that gives me comfort. The first of my #SongsOfComfort: Dvořák – "Going Home”
Stay safe.
I have a very close friend who’s a researcher studying public health at a major NGO, and he told me that this was THE week to practice as much social distancing as possible, even if you don’t have to go to work.
I asked him to explain why. Sharing his answers w/ permission (1/x)
@NoraLindstroem@meowtree I *heart* feedback. But I do hear stories on bringing results back to communities, where the data collected wasn't their priority in the first place and the presentation may not have been best use of their time or donor resources. Would rather see $ invested up front in design?
@GlobalDevLab I'm interested in what this could look like for public sector staff. If a public health worker responds to a ministry quiz via their text message system, what elements need to be in place? If I am required to respond to a USG survey on my workplace...is that informed consent?
What a great idea. We did something similar at USAID during portfolio planning for Ebola recovery, but this takes it the extra mile...or kilometer. Looking forward to trying this out on our next information systems investment. #5DaysofData
I also like @EngnRoom's @zararah on this - she encourages writing a dystopian theory of change. If everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, what would happen? #5DaysofData
